Peter and the Wolf
A classic symphonic folktale with score and text by Sergei Prokofiev. Prokofiev invented the story and wrote the narration and music for Peter and the Wolf in 1936. He constructed it as a musical symphony for children to introduce them to the instruments in an orchestra. Each character is represented by a particular instrument and musical theme. Peter and the Wolf was an immediate success and has been loved by children all over the world since then.
